After a long absence from all social media (to save a bit of sanity) Thirza is back online – and going to Writing West Midlands poetry conference in Coventry Saturday October 30 in Capital of Culture City Coventry.
That means overcoming fear of Covid but much much worse – getting up at 6.00 am to catch the train from Craven Arms.
Have always been a night owl – but the programme with the wonderful Jane Commane of Nine Arches Press and Writing West Midlands chief and all round poet, writer and writing hero Jonathan Davidson is worth it.
I am loving my third year at Manchester Met Creative Writing MFA (even though I have to do it in my ‘real name’) and looking for further inspiration on the collection I am writing for that which reveals some family secrets – some good some not…. the collection I am writing is about Percy and Grace and as they often said: onwards and upwards.
